I was reading in John 15 this morning and was challenged by verse 12 & 13. "This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lays down his life for his friends."
Catch the 'AS I HAVE LOVED YOU'. Wow, what I high calling it is! Impossible without Christ Jesus living in me and through me. It is no wonder that the majority of the verses before describe the necessity of 'abiding in the Vine/Abiding in Christ'.
"Jesus, help me lay down my life for others today and help me walk in the strength You provide, that nothing is done in my own strength, but all done in dependence and trust in you."
